Additional tips:
1) Use e-mail clients and services w/ anti-spam technology.
2) Create and use filters and rules.
3) Do not use the preview pane.
4) Simply put, do not open or view e-mail that is obviously spam, either because of its sender or its subject.
5) Do not respond to spam.
6) Do not participate in chain letters.
7) Do not ask to be removed from lists.
8) Do not bounce spam.
9) Do not give out your personal e-mail address to anyone except friends or people you know.
10) Create and use alternate e-mail addresses at Hotmail, Yahoo!, or your own domain, etc., for dating sites, job-hunting, mailing lists, registering for things, etc.
