Team L.A. Staffs MW/SF

On Wednesday, January 8th, QMUG/LA had the distinct honor and pleasure of organizing nine leaders from seven different L.A. area Macintosh user groups (MUGs) to help staff the User Group Booth at Macworld Expo/San Francisco 2003.  Because of the success of our Aug ’02 L.A. area MUG Leaders Forum, in Oct ’02 QMUG/LA was asked if the L.A. area might like to do this.  We put the call out, and these leaders responded.  Like w/ the Forum, e-mail that was sent out also appeared as a webpage for easy reference and access.  And in preparation for the actual staffing, QMUG/LA created black and white (B&W) cardstock nametags, three B&W 6'x2' table banners, three color 11"x17" L.A. area MUGs Maps and 8.5"x11" Calendars of Meetings on Epson Photo Paper, and 240 photogray Brochures, all of which culminated in a thankful Team L.A. Wrap-up.  Because Apple’s online locator had recently changed to list user groups by state and city (rather than by proximity to your ZIP code), Team L.A.’s brochure (and website’s main page) listing of all 40 groups in just the L.A. area should prove to be helpful and valuable, along w/ their printed and online Maps and Calendars of Meetings, all color-coded by meeting size.  So go on and check out our simple little mini-site, and let us know what you think.
