QMUG/LA cordially invites you to participate in our MacJobs: Employment Opportunities for the Macintosh Advantaged panel presentation happening Monday, April 13th, 1998, 7:30pm-9:30pm.We are inviting AppleOne, MacMall, MacTemps, and TeleTechs Apple Project, and believe this is an excellent and unique opportunity for *you* to recruit 25-30 very Mac-savvy, Mac-smart people.
From our Feb 98 sign-in sheets, 95% have e-mail, 80% consider themselves intermediate to advanced users, 70% have Power Macs, 30% have their own personal web pages, and 30% use Windows 95 each week.
The format would be pretty simple. We would give each of you 20 minutes to present your company and the kinds of people youre looking for. Then the rest of the meeting would be for questions from our members.
We would encourage you to bring 25-30 pamphlets about your company, copies of a list of jobs currently available, blank applications, and business cards, and we will encourage our members to bring their résumés.
The meeting will take place at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center at 1625 N Schrader, just east of Highland Ave and south of Hollywood Blvd. Parking is available under the building and is secure.
QMUG/LA is the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Macintosh Users Group for all of Los Angeles, an officially registered and recognized Apple Macintosh User Group that has been in existence since June 1994.
Youre also welcome of course to attend our Monday, March 9th, meeting to get a better sense of who and what we are; Cedar Tree Media will be presenting Adobe PageMaker and Quark XPress.
And if you have any questions, dont hesitate to visit our website at http://www.qmug.org, or contact us at (213) 222-7684 or QMUGLA@aol.com, or contact me personally at (213) 747-3121 or doan@qmug.org.
We look forward to having you there! Please confirm your participation as soon as possible!
Sincerely,
Doan Thiel Stafford
Co-Chair QMUG/LA.
