You’re Invited!

QMUG/LA invites you(!) to our March and April meetings! In March, a “Desktop Publishing for Professionals” double-header! First, Adobe PageMaker, then Quark XPress! Are you using PageMaker? XPress? Both?! Want to? Have questions? Then don’t miss this meeting!

In April, “MacJobs: Employment Opportunities for the Macintosh Advantaged”! You say you already have a job? Do you *like* it? Well, hey(!), when’s the best time to look for a job? When you already have one! You say you need a job? Well, hey(!), you’re in luck! We might just have one for you!

We have other great meetings coming up, too! In May, “Hard Disk Maintenance and Organization,” everything you’d ever want or need to know about HFS+, block sizes, and b-trees. You say, “What are HFS+, block sizes, and b-trees?” Attend this meeting, and you’ll know!

And in June, “Protecting Your Privacy,” basic steps you can take on AOL, in e-mail, newsgroups, and the on World Wide Web to protect yourself (and your friends!) from unsolicited e-mail. And then, our “‘4x4 All-Terrain’ *4th* Anniversary Celebration”! Woo-hoo!

One of the reasons you’re receiving this is because we don’t have an e-mail address for you. If you have one, e-mail us at QMUGLA@aol.com for monthly reminders! If you don’t have one, that’s okay, but that should give you even more reason to attend our meetings periodically!

QMUG/LA is a completely volunteer organization without a membership chair or newsletter (or a budget!), so that’s why you’ve not heard from us in awhile. We are most certainly still around, and have been meeting regularly every month since we began in June 1994.

So join us! And bring a friend! Again, we meet the second Monday of each month at 7:30pm sharp at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center at 1625 N Schrader, just east of Highland Ave and south of Hollywood Blvd. Parking is available under the building and is secure. See you there!
