QMUG/LA, the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Macintosh User’s Group for all of Los Angeles, is one of only two officially Apple-registered and recognized gay Macintosh user groups in the world, and we’ve been having fun and helping people since June 1994.

Presentations in just the past six months have been on AppleScript, Cable Modem Technology, Internet Relay Chat, Quark XPress, and Web Authoring.  Our entire meeting history is online, and we’ll plan our sixth year of presentations at our July 12th meeting.

Presenters in just the past year have included people from the Apple Demo Days Team, Apple Solutions Professional Network, Cedar Tree Media, Disney, Earthlink, EZ Mac, Jet Propulsion Labs, MatchFonts.com, MediaOne, and Small Blue Planet.

QMUG/LA is special in that (1) we are one of only two officially Apple-registered and recognized gay Mac groups in the world, (2) we have no gay PC/Windows user group equivalent, (3) our meetings are completely free of charge to attend, no membership fees or dues, (4) we really enjoy helping people with their Macs and showing them something new, and (5) you can easily find someone in your area of interest, be it music, video, the web, etc.
