To whom this may concern,
QMUG/LA has had a relationship
w/ the Community Yellow Pages since June 1995. Since then we have always been listed and have always paid $25.
Last year we didnt hear from the Community
Yellow Pages so we called and renewed our listing over the phone. No mention of any change or difference in pricing for community
organizations was made, nor was any receipt ever sent, so it was a surprise,
a very unpleasant one, to see a charge on my bank statement for $60.
Our 1999 listing was just fine, and in renewing
it for 2000, we asked that the same information be carried over
our name, phone number, and website address. When the 2000 edition came out, it listed our name, phone number,
website address, and my credit cards billing address, which is not
where QMUG/LA meets.
As important as QMUG/LA believes the idea of
a Community Yellow Pages is, after much thought, we are not willing to
renew our listing at $60. The failure
to mention a change in pricing, the failure to send a receipt, and the
failure to list us correctly from one year to the next are all reasons
why.
QMUG/LA is not against paying to be listed
we just paid CyberSocket $20 to be listed in their 2001 Directory
so if the current Community Yellow Pages can honor the previous
Community Organization rate of $25, send us a receipt and list us correctly,
QMUG/LA will be happy to reconsider and renew.
Sincerely,
Doan Thiel Stafford Co-ChairQMUG/LA |
