QMUG/LA
did have a newsletter in its first year or two it was
a page or two, was mailed out to members who did not have e-mail ad- dresses,
and was e-mailed out in plain text form to those who did but when
our Newsletter Editor stepped down, no one stepped up to replace him
newsletters can be tasky tasks.
qmug.org
debuted June 97, and since then we have made its main page our newsletter.
It contains all important announcements and events since last months
meeting through next months meeting and is e-mailed out in plain
text form and printed up as a handout for each meeting three and
a half years worth are archived in our sites Qalendar section.
Many
of our presentation handouts are authored in HTML, are printed up and distributed
at their respective meetings, and are archived in our sites Documents
section some you may want to check out are My Power Mac
(Augs Mac Basics
meeting), History of Apple Com- puter, Inc.,
Speech Technology, and Protecting Your Privacy.
Enclosed
are three copies of our past three monthly handouts. Please note
that each month our sites background pattern changes, that Novs
handout includes its presentation handout, and that Decs handout
in- cludes an addendum to Novs presentation. Outer pages are
printed via my Epson Stylus Photo 1200, and inner pages via my HP LaserJet
6MP.
Also,
all qmug.org pages are authored w/ Adobe PageMill 2.0 (bought Nov 96, full price). Additionally,
all formal QMUG/LA correspondence, envelopes, and other printed materials
are authored in PageMill, allow- ing us incredible consistency (uniformity), simplicity
(one program for lay- out), and universality (results
viewable in any browser anywhere).
