I’m gay, biologically Asian but culturally very American (and very dark from being born in the mtns of central Vietnam), male, 33, 5’6”, 112lbs, smooth, masculine, versatile, creative, independent, outgoing non-smoker, with a flattop and swimmer’s build, very much into my Macintosh, Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, Madonna, and classical, dance and alternative music. I’m a Monkey by Chinese astrology, “the genius of the cycle,” and a Taurus by the western zodiac, “stubborn.” (Find out what *your* Chinese astrological and western zodiac sign and characteristics are suppose to be!) I also very much like Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance,” Rogers & Hammerstein’s “Sound of Music,” Walt Disney’s “Mary Poppins,” Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations,” George Orwell’s “1984,” and Evelyn Waugh’s “Brideshead Revisited.” Chotto Nihongo mo dekiru. I like to think that I have a certain breadth, depth and quick wit that you should find refreshing.

I was adopted in Vietnam at 18 months by a US civilian who was the Mortuary Officer for the various branches of the US Department of Defense, and grew up the only child of a single parent. We moved to Japan where we lived for a few years. I began Kindergarden in Germany (where we travelled extensively, visiting even Tunisia at the northern tip of Africa), 4th Grade in Alameda, CA (redwoods, wine country, whale watching), high school in the Philippines (and visited Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand), and college in Japan (where I went to my first concert, Eurythmics, twice, and first Macworld Expo), afterwhich I transferred to UC Riverside, and then moved to Los Angeles (where I got to see Eurythmics in concert again, ten years later). I went to DC for the March on Washington (’93), and New York for Gay Games IV and Stonewall 25 (’94), and also lived briefly in Palm Springs. And I visit San Francisco at least once a year for Macworld Expo (since ’95).
