According to Bytemark, the Armada is 2.9 times faster than the original desktop P/90.

According to MacBench, the 3400 is 3.3 times faster than the original Power Macintosh 6100/60.

And, of course, these systems are fast, too. Over three times as fast as the fastest current Pentium II or recent 3400 systems.

Apple used this demo of a snail crossing the screen, and first one window of an application flies by, then another, and more and more, and one in particular spins around so you can see “Not Quite.” in it before it takes off, and then the camera follows these windows that are flying into a Mac. Really cool.
